Bike X Fashion

Are bikes fashionable? Or are they just a tool for athletic performance and for getting from one point to another? To those who believe that bikes and fashion can never be interlinked, think again! I have found that many high end fashion labels from around the world have come up with their own fashionista bike (by themselves or by collaborating with an existing bike brand). In fact, all of the 10 fashion brands that came to my mind had some form of designer bike or bike collaboration of some sort to their name! Check them out! (Caution: photo vomit!)

SPORT B X agnes b.

This is a limited edition bike with only 12 of it made in the world! And unfortunately for us, it is only available in Taiwan. For those of you making a trip up soon and want to take a look you can find them at Skunk!

Armani

Bianchi X Armani

Chanel

Dolce & Gabbana

Fendi

Bianchi X Gucci

Totally loving this bike (and the helmet!) but this baby doesn’t come cheap at US$14,000. But not too bad considering it comes with a water bottle, headlights and a wheel reflector. Haha.

Hermes

Louis Vuitton X Philippe Starck

Amazing what two very big names in design can come up with! I mean it’s Philippe Starck AND Louis Vuitton – like anything can beat that.

Paul Smith

Pashley X Ralph Lauren

Affinity X Ralph Lauren

Of all the bikes in this post, THIS is my ultimate favourite designer bike. Maybe it’s the contrasting colours or maybe it’s the relatively more sporty look but this one’s really got me staring for a long time haha.

Anyway I noticed that Bianchi has several collaborations with fashion brands and that got me interested in them. So I wiki-ed them and found this:

“F.I.V. Edoardo Bianchi S.p.A (pronounced bee-AHN-kee in Italian) is the world’s oldest bicycle-making company still in existence, having pioneered the use of equal-sized wheels with pneumatic rubber tires in 1885. It was founded in Italy in 1885. It produced carsand commercial vehicles from 1900 to 1939; and motorcycles from 1897 to 1967. Bianchi has been associated for 50 years with the Italian Tour de France winner, Fausto Coppi.

So by now you must have realized I truly enjoy seeing bike collaborations. Haha. I will keep looking out for different types of bike collaborations but if any of you have any info or lead I can follow up on do let me know!
